Nellie (94) been here since October 2011

I am very happy here, exceedingly in fact! I like the food. Before I moved in here I had no appetite but now I look forward to mealtimes especially the puddings! The best thing about being here is the company of the other people and staff who are very friendly – even the boss!

Flori (94) been here since June 2012

The food is good. I have only been here a few weeks but so far so good!

Joyce (88) been here since April 2012

I think coming to a Home is a good thing because you get to mix with other people – I have made lots of new friends. Being at home can be lonely if you can’t get out and about.

Alison Byrne (Daughter of resident)

My mother has been a resident at Croft House for almost 6 1/2 years. Whilst it was a difficult decision to place my mother in a care home, I have never regretted choosing Croft House. Her room is on the ground floor, it is light and airy with a view of the front gate, enabling her to watch visitors come and go. I feel the care she receives is of a very high standard, with staff taking time to chat to her. With the home being relatively small, a personal service is offered, resulting in a friendly, homely atmosphere. Questions are always answered promptly and fully, so that I am always put in the picture and know what is going on with my mother. I would have no hesitation in recommending Croft house to others. Indeed I have done so several times.

Betty Leeming (Close friend is a resident)

I visit my friend in Croft House on a weekly basis and in the four years she has been a resident I have had no reason to complain about anything. The staff are always kind and caring and my friend is always clean and well cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Croft House to anyone looking for accommodation for their relative/friend.

Catherine (Daughter of resident)

My mum moved into Croft House in October last year. From the moment we looked round the home it felt comfortable and welcoming. Giles and Vicky and their staff were so kind and made a very difficult time more bearable for all the family when mum moved in. Every staff member without exception is always welcoming to visitors and unfailingly kind and helpful to the residents. Mum's room is bright and airy. The food is always good and activities and entertainment are provided for those who wish to join in. I would certainly recommend Croft House to anyone looking for a care home.

John (Son of resident)

Mum has settled in quickly and extremely well. We were very concerned that she would be unhappy in a care home, but our worries were unfounded. The staff are excellent and take a great deal of time and care over each resident. Mum enjoys the food and her room is always clean and well aired. Whenever we visit, we are always made very welcome - nothing is too much trouble. We have no hesitation in recommending Croft House as an excellent care home.

Olive (Wife of resident)

My husband has been in Croft House for nearly three years, he has settled in and is comfortable in his surroundings. I have been very satisfied and happy with the care my husband receives. The staff are attentive to the needs of their clients and are always cheerful and happy, and make the visitors welcome, often with a coffee or tea and homemade biscuits. They are very patient and have the clients helping them with setting tables, baking, etc, making them feel useful. There are various entertainments each week, and outings for those who would like to go. Croft House has a vey homely atmosphere and the clients seem to feel this. Choosing a care home for a relative is a traumatic experience, but Croft House has eased this and made it easier for myself and my husband. The staff really care and this means piece of mind.

Morris (daughter of resident)

I was worried about how Mum would get on in a care home, but she obviously enjoys living at Croft House very much. She finds the staff extremely friendly and kind, and enjoys a joke with them. She enjoys the meals and has gained weight since going to live there. She has a pretty room with a nice view, but prefers to spend her time downstairs where she takes a great interest in the staff, the other residents, and all the activities. She always seems happy when I visit, and never bored or dull. The staff take the trouble to ensure she is always nicely dressed, with her hair set, nails done etc. All in all it is a great relief to see her so happily settled here.

Joy Holmes (Daughter of resident.)

Searching for a home for our dad was one of the hardest things we have ever done. What made such an impression on us, when we visited Croft House, was the attitude and caring behaviour of the staff to the residents. When Dad visited the home, he too felt that atmosphere and sensed that he could settle there. A year on, visiting at all times, we have consistently witnessed the same calm and professional care. All the staff are approachable and ready to listen to any concerns or requests. Dad's room is kept beautifully clean and tidy and he is encouraged to take part in the activities the home provides. We are very grateful and happy with the care our father receives.
